There are an increasing amount of digital design apps that are available on the IPad and in free online environments. These apps have made what were once expensive professional tools available to the student designer. These apps are continually evolving and changing.
For this project, students will learn and experiment in using many of these apps. They will hand in each of these assignments to be marked. At the end of the unit, students will also place their best work into their Mahara e-portfolio. These are the apps and tools that you will explore for this project:
Pre-planning
Most artists and designers spend time drawing and doodling their ideas before they begin a project. This is the place to "think" on paper, make mistakes, take risks and play with an idea.
Before you begin the next two assignments, you will create plans in your sketchbook. There should two to three ideas for your planets and four to five ideas for your alien.
Art Set - Assignment 1 Instructions:
After viewing a class demo, you will create a planet drawing using the tools in Art Set.
When you are done send your image to "photos" on your Ipad. Then log into your Google Drive account and upload the image from your camera roll into Google. You will then share it to your teacher at their Google accounts.
Art Set - Assignment 2 Instructions:
You wil now create a graphic drawing using Art Set of a monster/alien that inhabits one of your planets.
